Backtagging: Absolutely! I am happy to backtag pretty much forever.
Threadhopping: Yeah, I don't mind this!
Fourthwalling: I'd really rather you didn't. That being said, in any situation where our characters are being written as from the same universe, I'm totally open to your character having read Kate's posts on Reddit.
Handwaving: I often prefer to play stuff out if possible, but there's definitely a place for this too! Skipping ahead and fading to black are even more acceptable.
Offensive Subjects: Okay, this is the big one.
Kate's canon has a lot in it! There is murder, corruption, animal death including pet death, child death and endangerment, parent death, human sacrifice, mind control, cannibalism, body horror, spider horror, spider body horror, horror surrounding food, police corruption and coverups... Kate herself has killed people in some pretty brutal ways, including innocent and mostly-innocent people, and has worked with the police to cover up the deaths of people who die on her campground. There is also what I can only call depersonalization horror, not just body horror but a (not at all always willing) transformation of the self into something else that also changes the mind to a degree that the original person basically is just straight-up dead.
If you want me to avoid any of these subjects when threading with your character(s), or just avoid Kate entirely, please let me know here. Comments are screened.

Physical Contact: Kate isn't exactly the touchiest person outside of emergencies and very high-emotion situations. She might not welcome it or be the most comfortable with it, but she's probably not going to bite your head off. (Probably. Don't push your luck.)
Kissing: Unless she expresses interest herself first? Do Not. (And she almost certainly won't.)
Romance: See the shipping section below; Kate is aroace and there are VERY few even potential exceptions to her disinterest.
Sex: Same as with romance.
Fighting: I prefer PvE to PvP most of the time, but I'm also not opposed! Kate will go for it if she feels like she needs to or is pissed off enough, though, so it might get out of hand ICly and she might hold a grudge.
Injuries: I am definitely open to Kate being injured -- even badly injured -- but let's talk about the specifics OOCly beforehand!
Death: Depends, and I wouldn't want to be doing this super often, but I'm definitely not opposed. Let's talk first.
Mind Reading: Go ahead! She will not be happy if she finds out, and if your character tries to pull memories it won't be the most pleasant stuff. Let's talk about it OOC and we can figure out what your character picks up.
Other: I'm open to a lot so long as you reach out and we can plan a bit. Even if I end up saying no, just asking isn't a problem!

SHIPS

Kate/Beau: Kate is pretty much entirely uninterested in both romance and sex; this is the only exception I can ever see her having and that is because their entire deal is so fucking weird and unique on both their parts. I'd love to play out these two falling into something that definitely doesn't quite map onto a normal relationship in any way shape or form but is still something they both want, and that (eventually) ends up working for them.
